Personalized Book Stamp
For your generous friend who’s always passing her hard copies on to you or your favorite English teacher, this stamp comes in a variety of designs. And they’re all ADORABLE.
SHOPLibrary Card Socks
I sure wouldn’t complain about getting these socks from Out of Print for Christmas. They’re a cheeky pop of color.
SHOPKindred Spirits pin
Give this adorable pin to your book-loving friends – it’s the literary version of a BFF necklace!
SHOPBook Themed Vase
This adorable book-shaped bud vase is the perfect desk accessory – perhaps with a bouquet of freshly sharpened pencils?
SHOPBook light
These lights are necessary for late-night reading. My husband had a similar one – until it made its way over to my side of the bed. Funny how that happens.
SHOPLiterary Keychain
If you can’t move in to 221B Bakers Street, this keychain is a pretty great alternative.
SHOPHogsmeade Travel Poster
We own this Harry Potter-themed travel poster and love displaying it through the winter. It’s the perfect subtle nod to the series!
SHOPBook Club Puzzle
This 1000-piece puzzle is the perfect snow day activity – and gift – for book lovers!
SHOPFloating Book Shelves
I’ve always wanted some of these shelves that make your stacks (and stacks) of books look like art. Give the gift of installation too, and your bookworm may love you forever.
SHOPLiterary Pencils
This shop sells pencils stamped with quotes from classic books. You can choose your reader’s favorite, but I find the sayings from the Alice in Wonderland collection particularly on point (pun intended).
SHOPLord of the Rings Pint Glass
For a gift for the Lord of the Rings fans, what could be better than a pint glass from the Prancing Pony or the Green Dragon? I got Adam a very similar pint glass for his birthday, and he liked it so much he insisted we get the other.
SHOPBook shaped cookie cutter
Move over, gingerbread men – these book-shaped cookie cutters would be the MOST fun to decorate.
SHOPBook-themed laptop case
Adam got me this laptop case for Christmas two years ago, and it’s the coolest – it truly looks like a big, old book. I don’t leave my laptop in it when I’m typing, but it adds a great layer of protection whenever I bring my computer anywhere.
SHOPStet! English game
I can think of maybe 3 people in all of my acquaintance who would play this grammar game with me. But we would have a freaking ball.
SHOPUnder $50
Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective board game
If you’ve ever wished you could be Sherlock and try to hunt down criminals, this is the board game for you! Equipped with a map of London, a directory, and a newspaper, you’ll work through a case book and try to solve the mystery in fewer steps than our favorite detective. See my full review (plus other fantastic board games for two players) in this post!
SHOPInkwell Tee
The entire Inkwell Tees site is a book lover’s delight. There are so many great options for fans of Little Women, Pride and Prejudice, and general bookish cleverness here. (“I closed my book to be here” rings pretty true.)
SHOPBook cover pillow
For classic literature lovers, this Etsy shop sells pillows shaped like treasured titles, complete with front covers that open. Should I try to work Pride and Prejudice or Anne of Green Gables into my office decor? Decisions, decisions.
SHOPCustomizable book stack print
Get your favorite bookworm an illustrated stack of their favorite titles. There are multiple great customizable book stack designs in the artist’s shop – just filter for “books and library.” Library Girl is also v. cute.
SHOPOut of Print t-shirt
Out of Print’s t-shirts featuring book covers are always a great choice for a literary gift. Sense and Sensibility? Jane Eyre? Just about any other title? They’ve got ’em on Amazon or on their website, in a variety of cuts, too.
SHOPBook Nook
These cute little book nooks are perfectly sized to slide onto a bookshelf, and there are tons of themed options to recreate your reader’s favorite setting in miniature. Just search “book nook” on Amazon for a sampling. Most of them require assembly, which is perfect if your reader is someone who would enjoy a few crafty evenings lovingly putting together a sweet little scene. Adam has assembled two of these so far and really enjoyed the process.
SHOPOver $50
Here’s the beauty of buying book-themed gifts – unless you’re renovating a home library (a girl can dream, right?!), most gifts for book lovers aren’t crazy expensive. If you are looking for a special splurge, here’s my one recommendation.
Kindle Paperwhite
My Kindle is my go-to way to access library books, read gigantic tomes, and score online book deals. Paired with a great case, it would be a fantastic gift for a reader. I think most readers would benefit from one – check my honest Kindle review to see if it would be the right gift for your favorite reader! Don’t forget to check for Black Friday sales on this, too!
